Tulku Thondup has Written a Major Essay for a New Book on Zangdok Palri

Zangdok Palri, the Lotus Light Palace of Guru Rinpoche, is a magnificent book that was recently launched to great acclaim in Bhutan and Bangkok. This endeavor was envisioned and supported by Her Majesty the Royal Grandmother of Bhutan, Ashi Kesang Choden Wangchuck. Supawan Pui Lamsam of Gatshel Publishing, Thailand took the photographs and published the book. It is a large format volume. It has  375 pages with over four hundred exquisite photographs, all five-color plates. These include photos of the amazing Zangdok Palri replica of Kurjey  located in Bumthang, Bhutan, as well as photos of hundreds of rare thankas and murals from Bhutanese temples and sacred places. These paintings are deeply connected with the lives and enlightened activities of Guru Rinpoche in Bhutan as well as his knowledge-holder followers. Most of the paintings have never been photographed before.
