Drawing on his book, Boundless Healing,Tulku Thondup explains a meditation practice that stimulates the body and mind's own healing power. The practice focuses on the Medicine Buddha as the source of healing and uses prayers to invoke his blessings Tulku Thondup also gives a clear, elementary introduction to the Buddha's teachings on healing.
Tulku Thondup was born in eastern Tibet in 1940. Recognized as the reincarnation of a great scholar, he studied and practiced at Dodrupchen Monastery from the age of five. In 1958, he fled to India, where he lived and taught for over 20 years. In 1980 Tulku Thondup became a visiting scholar at Harvard University, and has since written and translated many books on Tibetan Buddhism, including: The Healing Power of Mind, Masters of Meditation and Miracles, Enlightened Journey, Hidden Teachings of Tibet and The Practice of Dzogchen.
These teachings and practices were given at the Dzogchen Beara retreat centre in Ireland in November 2002, during a tour Tulku Thondup made of Rigpa centres in Europe at the invitation of Sogyal Rinpoche and Rigpa.
